About the 16 Day Campaign
It is an international campaign originating from the first Women's Global Leadership Institute in 1991, when participants chose the dates 25 November, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, to 10 December, International Human Rights Day for a 16-day campaign, in order to symbolically emphasize that violence against women is a human rights violation.
The 16 Day Campaign is coordinated by the Centre for Women's Global Leadership
