As a part of the Community Empowerment and Economic Development programme, UNIFEM supports the establishment of Women's Resource Centers at provincial and community levels. Services provided by local NGOs in the centers include literacy and health education, income generation workshops, computer skills and English language training. The strategy and approach for outreach to the provinces is detailed in a Memorandum of Understanding signed with the Ministry of Women’s Affairs.
