Involving NGOs in the Implementation of NAPWA

UNIFEM has assisted MOWA in establishing productive collaboration with NGO coalitions in Afghanistan. As a result, the NGO Coordination Council (NCC) was founded.

The NCC aims to promote NGO’s commitment to the advancement of women through the programmes of their member NGOs across the country.

The NCC is composed of three of the biggest NGO coalitions in the country, namely:

• the Agency Coordinating Body for Afghan Relief (ACBAR);
• the Afghan Women’s Network (AWN), and;
