Institutional Capacity Building of the Ministry Of Women’s Affairs (MOWA)

Joint Programmes

UNIFEM is currently a partner in several UN - Government of Afghanistan joint programmes, including: Maternal Mortality Reduction, the Afghanistan Integrated Functional Literacy Initiative and the Girls Education Initiative.

UNIFEM also supports the Literacy Initiative For Empowerment (LIFE) new and works together with the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) new, the Afghanistan Independent Human Rights Commission (AIHRC) new and others on joint initiatives.
